A large-scale animation shown on a screen in Hoog Catharijne, Utrecht. A small moment of art tucked between the ads of a busy shopping centre, made to catch people off guard and let them enjoy it for a second. The animation itself is entirely analog, made by letting ink flow and spread across a sheet of plastic.
Shown on a big screen at Rembrandtplein, Amsterdam, with the same idea: giving people a moment of art between the ads of a busy square. The animation is inspired by a mural I painted in 2022, and built around a custom tool I made that tracks the movement of passersby. This recording became the piece.
Shown on a big screen in Hoog Catharijne, Utrecht. The animation is made entirely from letter A's, each one standing in for a passerby, all dancing through and around each other.
An exhibition during Eendrachtsfestival in Rotterdam, where I combined my digital tools and animations with paintings and interaction, so visitors don't just look, but actually get to experience the work.
Built for a poster exhibition: a tool that turns you into your own source of inspiration, instead of hours of scrolling Pinterest. Using effects and elements from my own work, you can create posters purely to spark ideas, or use them as a starting point for a new design.
A mural and print I made for Blindwalls Gallery in Breda. The mural is based on a print built entirely from a hand-drawn alphabet, and that typeface is free to download, so visitors get to take a real piece of the work home with them.
Download the typeface ↓A mural made for Ploegendienst festival in Breda, themed around nature and music. To me, both are places you can completely lose yourself in, while also being fully present in the moment, so you're both nowhere and now here, and that idea became the piece. I also made an animation that reinforced the concept: during the festival you could view it through your phone as a live overlay on top of the mural.

A to Z · 356 frames
Typographic Morph is a hand-drawn stop-motion alphabet of 356 frames. This project explores type as behaviour rather than a fixed object.
Each frame nudges one letter toward the next. A becomes B, B becomes C, all the way to Z. Lines shift, repeat and resolve by timing and touch instead of a strict grid. The result keeps the alphabet recognisable while the forms stay in motion.
From the moving sequence I distilled a working font built from the still master letters. The in-between shapes form a library of transitions that work as prints, short loops and graphic textures for titles, posters and motion pieces.
I drew every frame by hand, scanned the drawings, then assembled the animation so the rhythm feels constant from A to Z. Printed specimens are available on recycled A3 paper and signed. The font is available for licensing on request.

EXPERIMENTAL ALPHABET is a growing archive of typographic studies. 16 posters, each based on a single alphabet, each shaped through intuition, distortion, and imperfection.
Every letter in these alphabets was built without rules or grids. Instead of designing type to be read, I focused on how letters can behave.
Each print is a snapshot of a different approach: one alphabet might feel rhythmic, another chaotic. Some lean into repetition, others explore gesture, noise or silence. But they all share the same question: what happens when we stop trying to make a ‘usable’ font, and just let the form take over?
All posters are printed on recycled A3 paper and signed by hand. Limited edition.

Interactive
In a world where digital design gets smoother and faster, we often forget what makes creativity truly thrilling: mistakes. Modern tools let us correct, rewind, and erase endlessly. But what if you couldn’t? What if every mark you made was final?
Analog Touchscreen invites you to create without an undo button. No layers. No filters. No escape. Just you, your hands, the material and the moment.
You’ll work intuitively with analog tools that embrace imperfection. Every smudge, slip, or unexpected turn becomes part of the process. And those “mistakes”? They might just lead to something new.
Dare to make a letter you can’t undo?

Brooklyn, NYC · THIS IS ART · 2025
In March 2025, my work THIS IS ART was exhibited at Streeters Gallery in Brooklyn, New York. The piece is a typographic composition that, at first glance, appears abstract, until the viewer takes a moment to truly look. Hidden within the layered forms is the phrase “this is art”, but it takes time to reveal itself.
Like much of my work, it plays with perception and expectation. We often search for immediate meaning, but the most beautiful things in life ask for patience. This piece invites the viewer to pause, look a little longer, and discover what is quietly waiting to be seen.

Solo exhibition: PIECES · 2022
In September 2022 my solo exhibition PIECES was presented at Culture Hub Rotterdam. Each artwork in the show contained a deliberate absence: a missing piece. That missing part was not lost, but relocated, physically detached from the work and placed directly onto the wall beside it.
Visitors were invited to imagine, shift, and mentally reinsert the piece, creating endless variations. The works became adjustable, incomplete yet whole in their openness. Each arrangement offered a new way of seeing, a different kind of resolution.
Like much of my work, PIECES encourages viewers to look again, to embrace the in-between, the uncertain, and the playful. Because for me, that is what art is. Not a fixed answer, but an ongoing invitation to explore.

Hidden Letters · window exhibition
For this window exhibition at Café De Schouw, I created 156 miniature artworks, each centered around a single letter. At first glance, the letters dissolve into abstract forms, almost unrecognizable. But as you take a step closer, the shapes begin to reveal their meaning.
This project plays with the boundaries between typography and abstraction, challenging the way we perceive language and form. Just like the city itself, these works require time and attention to fully uncover their details.
Displayed in the window of Café De Schouw, this exhibition transforms the everyday act of passing by into a moment of discovery. Will you take the time to read between the lines?
Murals
For De Beatfabriek, a space filled with music studios and DJs, I created a mural that blends typography with abstract rhythm. The name “De Beatfabriek” is embedded within the artwork, painted in my signature style, intentionally obscured, encouraging discovery.
The flowing lines in the mural are inspired by sound waves and creative energy, representing the way music takes shape within this space. Just like the artists who bring their beats to life here, this mural is an expression of movement, spontaneity, and artistic freedom.

Kunstuitleen Rotterdam
For Talent Spot Rotterdam by Kunstuitleen Rotterdam, I created three abstract works as a tribute to the city. Each piece contains the word ‘Rotterdam’, hidden within the composition. In my signature style, I play with forms and contrasts, making the letters merge with the artwork.
At first glance, the pieces appear as graphic patterns, but those who take a closer look will uncover the city’s name. These works are an ode to Rotterdam, a city in constant motion, just like the dynamic lines and structures in my art.

Exhibition in a courthouse · 25 paintings
The courthouse is a space where countless stories intertwine, some complex, others simple. Every person who enters carries their own narrative, shaped by circumstances, choices, and fate.
For this exhibition, I created 25 paintings, each dedicated to a single letter of the alphabet. At first glance, these pieces appear abstract, but as the viewer lingers, letters begin to emerge. Each composition is constructed entirely from its designated letter: a bold form at the center, filled with countless smaller variations of itself.
This layering of type and form invites curiosity. The longer one observes, the more the meaning shifts. Just like the cases that unfold within these courthouse walls, perception is subjective. Meaning is not always immediate; it takes time to uncover the full story.

Solo exhibition
For my solo exhibition at the HIJS Kamer, I transformed the space into a fully immersive artwork, where walls, floors, and canvases merge into a single experience. Through large-scale murals, sketches, and paintings, I explored all facets of my artistic style, breaking the boundaries between typography and abstraction.
By extending my work beyond the canvas and onto the physical space, I invited visitors to step inside the art rather than just observe it. This exhibition was an experiment in how art can transform a space, making it not just a gallery, but a place to feel, move through, and decode.
Motion
In this project, I painted a mannequin with the phrase “EVERYBODY IS ART”, playing with both the meaning of body as art and everyone as art. The abstract, flowing letters shape themselves around the form, blurring the lines between typography and the human figure.
To reinforce this concept, I created an animation where the letters shift and transform, eventually aligning into the shape of the mannequin itself. This piece is a reminder that art is everywhere, in every form, every shape, every body.

Maker Faire, TU Delft
For the Maker Faire at TU Delft, I conducted a two-day material research project, exploring how different materials and techniques influence the form of letters. Each letter became a unique result of its process, shaped by texture, fluidity, resistance, and unpredictability. Even when recreating the same letter, no two outcomes were identical.
Visitors were invited to take part in the process, allowing them to explore typography as a hands-on, interactive experience. The result: a dynamic and ever-evolving collection of letters, each telling its own story.

For Pakje Kunst, a project where miniature artworks are sold through repurposed cigarette machines, I created multiple works exploring typography, abstraction, and storytelling in a compact format.
One of my contributions was a series of 26 mini-artworks, each featuring a single letter of the alphabet. With every pack being a surprise, the experience of collecting and discovering these letters became part of the artistic concept.
I also took part in the Mini & Maxi exhibition, where the small piece became a puzzle piece of the larger work, and led workshops on the abstraction of letterforms.
Experimental Type
In this project, I took my exploration of urban typography a step further by developing an entire typeface from letterforms found in the city. Walking through the streets, I photographed objects, structures, and patterns that naturally resembled letters, then transformed them into a cohesive alphabet, applying consistency while preserving the raw, organic nature of the shapes.
Each letter in this typeface carries a sense of place, shaped by urban textures and accidental design. It shows my ongoing fascination with the intersection of environment and typography: letters can be found, not just designed.
Graphic Design
Logo
For Club Centraal, a nightclub in Rotterdam, I designed a logo that merges my graphic design background with my artistic style. The word “Centraal” was entirely hand-drawn, resulting in an organic, bold, and dynamic type treatment that reflects the energy of the club.
The handcrafted nature of the design adds a raw and authentic edge, making it stand out from digitally generated logos.
Graphic Design
A custom hoodie design inspired by the track “Slime You Out”, translating the song’s theme into a hand-drawn illustration that merges typography with portraiture.
The letters of the song title take on a dripping, liquid-like form, and through negative space a face emerges, blurring the line between text and image, message and form.
Graphic Design
Visual identity
For Forward Festival, a techno event in Italy, I developed a dynamic visual identity built on analog techniques: paint and ink create organic, fluid textures that were later integrated into the festival’s artwork.
Each edition had a unique theme, leading to an evolving series of posters, and the identity extended into merchandise sold at the festival.

Clothing line
For the Genius Needs clothing line, I collaborated on the artworks and lookbook, translating the founder’s personal stories into unique, hand-drawn visual designs.
The designs merge typography, symbolism, and abstraction, turning clothing into wearable art.
Experimental Type
In this project, I explored letterforms in the urban landscape. Walking through the city, I captured everyday objects, structures, and cracks in the pavement that resembled letters. These found shapes were then traced and refined, leaving only the pure essence of the letterforms I saw.
Each form became an abstraction, both recognisable and unexpected, enriching my perspective on typography and its endless possibilities.

Tape & form
This canvas is the result of an experimental approach, where I used tape as a tool to shape the composition before peeling it away. By removing control at certain stages, I allowed the process to influence the outcome, creating a balance between intentional design and spontaneous abstraction.
Art is not just about the final result, but about the journey of making: embracing unpredictability, adaptation, and the beauty of transformation.

Linocut election poster
For Algemene Beschouwingen, a collective that commissions artists to create election posters, I designed a handmade, linocut-printed poster to encourage voter participation.
The imperfections of the hand-printing process mirror the reality of democracy: it’s never perfect, but it’s shaped by participation. Your voice counts. Use it.

Hand-painted sneaker
In this playful experiment, I reimagined a classic sneaker and its shoebox through my artistic lens, turning them into a unique, hand-painted design with my signature typography-based abstraction.
Every detail was painted by hand. The chaotic yet structured lettering flows across the shoe, creating a sense of movement and energy.

Merchandise
For this international project, I designed merchandise that encourages voter participation while remaining politically neutral: visually striking, sparking curiosity and conversation, without taking sides.
The project transforms a simple word into a visual metaphor for democracy itself. Your vote shapes the world, whether seen or unseen.
